Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only one child to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the show business at an early age and was playing lead roles in different series on TV by the time she reached the age of 16. They praised her part on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for more memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. Other Oscar nominated films featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra participated in several well-known projects both at home and abroad over the years. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French history mini-series Napoleon among others. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
